The Greenville economy faces a troubling trend that requires immediate community action.
Income growth has slowed significantly in recent years, and the Greenville area finds itself well behind peer communities such as Charleston, Columbia and Greensboro/Winston-Salem on numerous indicators.
To compete today, Greenville must transition to a more advanced economic growth strategy.
To that end, the Greenville Chamber, in consultation with over 60 local CEO's and community leaders, has designed a program of work to ACCELERATE! economic growth. The program employs development strategies recommended in several studies of the Greenville economy and proven successful in other top communities.
